Hey again, this week for my 20% project I continued to add some touch ups to the base of my duck by trying to give it some accessories like a mini hat. I kinda struggled on trying to find a video on how to make a hat for my duck and to get the stitch right. I wasn’t really moving fast just because I felt a little tired and stressed, but I need to ask my teacher for some stuffing to stuff the duck. I accomplished to make a hat and finish some of the duck base. Before I close it up I need to make sure I put in the safety eyes and then after the duck gets stuffed I will sew the hole closed and it will be complete and if I have time I’m going to make more accessories for the duck, that can help me with giving the duck character. Favorite artist
We all listen to music, but what type of music do you like? I like to listen to 21 savage, The weekend, and sza. The reason for this is because their music is just a vibe and it’s just good. My favorite album for 21 is American dream, by far my favorite song from that album is redrum and all of me. I like both of these songs because they are a vibe to listen to on my way to soccer practice or games. My favorite album from The weekend is starboy, beauty behind the madness my favorite song is party monster for starboy, for beauty behind the madness is earned it, the reason I like these two songs is because the first one is very mood type and the other one is relaxing. Last but not least sza, I mean they do say save the best for last right?, anyways I love her music its just such the vibe. My favorite album from her is lana and my favorite song from it is Saturn, I’m I love with this song.
Favorite Room
My favorite room in my home is my bedroom. I like this room because it has a nice light, view of the garden outside and the atmosphere in my room is different from the whole entire house. The living room would be way to cold, kitchen has to much light, the dinning table is to dark, and my sisters room is to hot and smells bad. My mom won’t even let me enter in her room because she thinks we’re gonna steal her stuff and make a hugs mess. The other reason I like my room is because its not to crowded with plants. Lastly, cause of my bed and how comfortable it is its so soft warm and cozy.
(20 Percent Project) Blog Week #2 : Crochet
While working on my 20% project this week I learned how to crochet the base of the duck while following the tutorial. I realized that I was going to need more items which is, safety eyes 9mm (or buttons) and some stuffing and normal orange thread. If I’m correct you can buy these at Michaels; the amount you would probably pay is around thirty-five and forty dollars, although I might ask my sewing teacher for some stuffing. I was struggling on learning the patterns because it wasn’t really specific on what to do and so I was finding more videos but it was still not enough information that they gave me, so when I went home today from school I got some help from my mentor(sister) at home I left off midway of the base for the duck. I am proud to say I’m somewhat on track just because of the base but the rest I will buy over the weekend. So for next week I will finish working on the base of the duck and once I get my materials I will finish the rest of the duck. Bye thank you for reading, see you next week!
(20 Percent Project) Blog Week #1 : Crochet
I started working on my 20% project today, I’m working on crocheting and to make a duck. This week my goal was to learn the basics about crocheting, I didn’t get to start on my project fully just because I was working on my plan sheet that was due on Friday 4/4/24. The good thing is I did get to watch some videos of the person making a duck, I found out I needed plush thread which I don’t have so I am going to need to get that, which you can get at Michael’s for ten-twelve dollars. I did struggle just because I didn’t really get to start on it so that kinda made a impact to my work time, so I’m going to have to buy some thread and work a lot over the weekend. I left off on watching some videos but I’m pretty sure I could watch those over the weekend. so what I plan for next week is to finish watching the video and buy the thread I need as soon as possible. Dinner night
There are so many people I would want to invite to dinner, but these are my top three: Sammy, Kayla, and Savannah. They are really close friends that I meet a year ago, except for Kayla I met her this month. The reason I would invite Sammy is because she is very funny and kind and just such a fun friend to hang out with, I would also invite Kayla and Savannah because they are my close friend and when were all four together were really funny and dumb. I feel like when we’re all together, I can just be myself and not have to worry what others think, I guess you could say I feel safe.
Dream Job
Working at a museum would be a perfect job for me. The reason for this is because I get to learn about the past and the story’s behind a sculpture or painting. They might have new things they bring to the museum so I wouldn’t get bored on seeing the same thing over and over again, and I might learn new things as well, I can also teach other people about the museum about the paintings! I could also explore and like I said before learn and connect ideas that I learned from social studies. I’m also not really a sociable person so that’s also a new thing I could try to get use to.
The Invisible girl
The possibilities are endless when you are invisible for twenty-four hours! You can literally go rob a bank, get free food, and even commit a crime. I personally would rob a food store to have food with me on the go. The second thing I would do is go to CT to go see my old friends and see how they’re doing or what they are working on. They also might have a birthday coming up so i would get them a gift. And the last thing I would do is get food for the home less, I would go to the store and get food and walk around since no one can see me I would give the people who need food food and especially the ones with kids.
The Day on the Island
A warm and sunny day with fresh wind blowing calmly. Big island with massive palm trees some tipping over, big rocks and small little rocks on the sand or near the shore. You can hear the blue ocean with small waves coming from a distance, crashing with the rocks. I sit near the palm tree with coconuts I’m surprised I haven’t gotten hit by one, anyways my daily routine in this place is pretty simple actually. The first thing I do is wake up from my tent that I have near a cave and I go search for some food to eat, but before I go ahead and eat I take a bath near another cave more in the jungle. Then I would go back to my tent and eat and afterward maybe take a little nap, then I would walk around the beach while the sunset is setting, maybe sit near the coconut tree again listening to the waves crash. Once it gets dark I would go look for some food again and then brush my teeth and head back to bed.
Rail roads pt.3
The leafs are blowing peacefully, she told herself. “I wish I could go home now!” She cried. “Then go?” She froze as she heard the same voice as the one before. She got up and turned around to see the boy that she punched sitting near her on the other side of the tree. “Owen!?” She called out. He gave her a solid stare and didn’t say a word. “l-look I’m sorry I didn’t mean to punch you I just got scared, you know?” She anxiously spoke. “Why would you be scared of me, I just said hi?” He said. She didn’t reply and instead just walked away, she heard him call out her name and told her to wait but she just ignored him and made her way back. She walked pretty far before getting back to her neighborhood. She noticed that when she stepped foot on the neighborhood side it was night time, but when she stepped back out it was sunny. She was really confused, “whats going on here..?” She spoke softly. She passed to the neighborhood side and walked back home but when she got there she saw her mother sleeping on the couch watching a movie. Raya remembered last minute that she wanted to show her mom the picture she found in the attic, she reached for her pockets but realized there was nothing there.
